[memories of the apartment in Porto; the Winter darkness, solitude and loneliness, a craving for something]

This is sensual, laidback electronic, 90's inspired r&b done well. It clocks at just twenty minutes — so, so criminally short! — but almost everything here is pop perfection. Gravity (here in a live rendition) is a highlight, and so is Needs.

I'm not sure how I came across this album; my records tell me I first downloaded it September 13th — I was still in Slovenia, preparing for my trip back, and probably went looking for very singable, secure value pop records. Tinashe had never been on my radar before, but her career is quite long already. She went independent in the meantime, too, which is interesting.

Keep fallin' into me (Ah)

And I'll keep fallin' into you (Ah)

When I feel spaces we could fill (Ah)

Gravity pulls me down back to you

On some very obscure internet forums, someone recommended Rochelle Jordan - Play With The Changes, which is also produced by machinedrum (production credits on Gravity); the BB/ANG3L RYM page is also teeming with love.

What a great, great piece of pop.
