[in fact, there's much more that could be told about my history with computers. I won't do it now – as in, now now – but maybe later. At some point. In the future.]
In hindsight, I believe I started taking programming more seriously back in 2019, as I realised I had no further interests to pursue, at that point, in the academic path of Mathematics. Many of my friends at the time were taking on Computer Science and Programming, and I asked whether it would be possible to partake on that via self-studying. They pointed me towards Exercism, a great social platform for self-directed programming studies exercises. Before that — before realizing I could, too, be a programmer, I was already dabbling in managing my own webservices.
Python has been a very natural choice to start my programming journey with, and it has turned out to be a reliable tool ever since. During my 42 stint, I also became comfortable with C, and lately I transitioned from a platonic relationship to a very steamy affair with the Lisp family of languages (via Scheme).
